Mark Kellett presents a deeply personal body of work that explores the complexities of mental health through visual art and sculpture. Drawing from his own experiences, Kellett’s work serves as a poignant reflection on the challenges he has faced and overcome. In collaboration with young people from Motiv8, he has co-created a series of powerful visual responses that delve into the emotional landscape of mental well-being. This collection of artworks, marked by its raw emotion and introspective depth, seeks to spark conversation and raise awareness of mental health struggles. Each piece stands as a testament to the strength and resilience found in the face of adversity.

Artist Bio:

Mark Kellett is a contemporary artist whose work spans a deeply personal and evocative exploration of his life’s journey. This solo exhibition presents a timeline of Kellett’s experiences, focusing on the mental health challenges he has faced and overcome. His art serves as a visual diary, chronicling moments of intense emotional struggle, healing, and self-reflection. Each piece in the exhibition invites viewers to delve into the complex layers of Kellett’s psyche, with his unique style capturing the rawness and vulnerability of his lived experience.

Mark completed his Fine Art degree at Winchester School of Art, after a school teacher noticed his talent and creativity, and encouraged him to pursue a career within the art industry. Since completing his degree, Mark has continued to create his own work, painting regularly, taking on commissions, and exhibiting locally.

Alongside running Mark Kellett Art, Mark is a lecturer at HSDC College, hoping to encourage other up and coming artists, as his teacher encouraged him.
