A towering 12-foot-tall pedal-powered mandala, an intricate, mesmerising piece of art that comes to life through movement. Composed of 2 large circular frames, each adorned by 6 giant petals painted in vibrant hues of yellow, pink, purple and blue, filled with little mirrors. At the base, there’s a sturdy seat attached to a set of bicycle pedals. When someone sits and begins to pedal, the entire mandala starts to spin slowly. The patterns shift and rotate, creating a dynamic kaleidoscope effect, where the colours blend and dance in a rhythmic flow.
As the pedals turn faster, the mandala’s rotation accelerates, transforming the once-static artwork into a hypnotic, ever-changing display of symmetry and movement. The gentle whirring of gears blends with the visual spectacle, making the experience both meditative and energising.
The mandala’s size, combined with the human-powered interaction, gives it a sense of grandeur and wonder, as if you’re directly connected to the creation and transformation of the intricate patterns.
