A collaboration between Thomas Buckley and Tom Hobden “A Hand, Held” uses custom made capacitive touch sensors to trigger bespoke computer generated visuals based on the connectivity between two or more people. This work is made in collaboration with young people from Hilsea, who’ve undergone a programme of creative technology workshops with the artist. learning skills in animation and 3d modelling.
This visual is always unique to the audience and is interactive, through data programming a unique physics system drives particle clouds that flow, eddy and swirl, conducted by the physical connection between the two people.
